So, these are photographs by Jen Davis. I like them quite a lot on their own, although when I was first reading about her work there was a bunch of negative framing around her fatness (some of which was internal to her) which I appreciate being true to her experience but didn’t really like. For example, she had some images of herself with a man in bed and titled it “Fantasy #1” or something, and while I certainly understand feeling, as a fat woman, that no one will ever find you desirable, I didn’t like the implication that it had to be fantasy. Lots of fat ladies have love and intimacy and sex. And I think she lost some weight, because in the photos here with the tatooed man, she looks smaller. I wonder if she found love with the tatooed man. I hope so, and I hope it isn’t because she is smaller.
I like Spike and I enjoyed the puns, quips, and verbal sparring between him and Buffy. I even understand why Buffy chose to have a violent sexual relationship with him after she was resurrected, but I will never understand why Joss and the other writers decided it was a good idea to have Spike fall in love with Buffy.
